What materials are needed?

This shawl comes in 4 sizes: S[M, L, XL]

It is knitted with Fingering weight yarn Fingering.

Yarn quantities by size: 330[435, 610, 910] yds / 300[400, 555, 830]m

We recommend a yarn with silk for a beautiful sheen and softness.

Our suggestions:

  • Cashmere and silk by HandMaiden (65% Cashmere and 35% Silk, 180 m/50 gr). According to sizes: 2 (3, 4, 5) skeins.
  • Mini Maiden by HandMaiden (50% Silk and 50% Merino Wool, 500 m/100 gr). According to sizes: 1 (1, 2, 2) skeins.
  • Flyss by HandMaiden (65% Silk and 35% Linen, 400 m/100 gr). According to sizes: 1 (2, 2, 3) skeins.

Who is the teacher?

Before opening the warm boutique La Maison Tricotée, Céline Barbeau, originally from Paris, was a storyteller in France.

Settled in Quebec for 18 years, she can boast of having opened the first "Knit Café" in Montreal in 2013. Céline has been knitting for over twenty years and teaching for 20 years. With the pandemic, her teachings moved online, allowing a large community to benefit from her knowledge both in her historical knitting lectures, her free courses, and her more advanced classes. Invited as a knitting teacher at many festivals in Quebec and France, enjoy her humor and passion for teaching.
