• 2 skeins of Super Bulky Merino wool by Da Fazenda (100% Merino wool; 100g/48m)
• 1 recycled fur pompom
• 1 circular needle 10mm in 40cm circumference
• 1 set of 10mm double tips
• 1 yarn needle
• 1 marker ring

Sample

7.5 sts x 12 rows for 10cm by 10cm with 10mm needles in circular stockinette stitch. Important : check the sample and adjust the needle number if necessary.

Realization

Cast on 36 stitches with 10 mm circular needles. Place a reference ring, join in a circle, taking care not to twist your stitches. Knit 5 rows in 2/2 rib (*knit 2, purl 2*) over the entire row. Continued in stockinette st until piece measures 18 cm, measured from cast-on edge.

Start the decreases for the top of the hat like this (switch to double pointed needles when the knitting becomes too tight).
row 1: * 4 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

Knit one row.

row 3: * 3 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

Knit one row.

row 5: * 2 stitches, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

Knit one row.

row 7: * 1 stitch, 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

row 8: * 2 stitches together * repeat until the end of the round.

Pass the yarn through the remaining 6 stitches, tighten and tuck in all the yarns. Sew the pompom to the top of the hat.
