A vitamin cap with a healthy glow. For fall babies, this will be the outfit of the season!

Material

• Orange: 50g lightweight yarn (DK). Hint:
• One (1) orange color skein of Santi, merino/alpaca/yak/silk, lightweight (DK), 50g/ 125m skein
• One (1) skein of pumpkin color from Ulysses, 100% merino, lightweight (DK) in a 50g/185m ball

Green: 10 g light yarn (DK). Hint:

• Color Santi green , merino/alpaca/yak/silk, lightweight (DK), 50g/125m skein
• Spring color by Ulysses, 100% merino, light (DK) in 50 g/185 m bale

One (1) pair of 3mm circular needle 40cm in circumference

• One (1) pair of 4 mm circular needle (US 6) 40 cm in circumference
• For size 0/3 months, the 3 mm and 4 mm (US 6) needles must be double pointed.
• Four (4) 4mm (US 6) double pointed needles
• One (1) round tipped needle

Realization

Cast on 66 (72, 84, 96) stitches on 3mm circular needles with the orange yarn. Join in the round, taking care not to twist the stitches on the first row.

Knit 6 rows all in place. Then change to 4 mm circular needles as follows:

Size 0/3 months: * 10 meD, 1 meV * repeat from * to * all the way up to 13 cm in height.

Size 3/6 months: * 11 meD, 1 meV * repeat from * to * on the whole row up to 14 cm in height.

Size 6/12 months: * 13 meD, 1 mev * repeat from * to * on the whole row up to 15 cm in height.

Size 18/24 months: * 11 meD, 1 meV * repeat from * to * on the whole row up to 16 cm in height.

Begin the decreases for the hat as follows.

Join the green wire. The ms in orange are indicated as above and the green ms are indicated literally.

Row 2 : * 2 meD, 3 meD green, 1 meD, 2 Tog * repeat from * to *.

Row 3 : * 1 slr, 4 slr green, 2 slr green * repeat from * to *. Cut the orange yarn at the end of this row. The rest of the explanations are given with the green thread only.

Row 4 : * 4 mD, 2 Tog * repeat from * to *.

Row 5 : * 3 mD, 2 Tog * repeat from * to *.

Row 6 : * 2 mD, 2 Tog * repeat from * to *.

Row 7 : * SR1, Tog 2 * repeat from * to *.

Do 4 rows on the remaining 6 (6, 6, 8) sts. Then, knit all the m 2 by 2. There will remain 3 (3, 3, 4 m)

Knit 3 rows of i-cord over these sts. Then knit 2 Tog and 1 st. There will remain 2 (2, 2, 3 m)

Knit 2 rows in i-cord on these sts.

The sheet (Optional)

With 4mm double pointed needles and the color green, cast on 3 stitches and knit in I-cord for 5 rows. The whole sheet is knitted in garter stitch.

R1 and 2: All right side up

R3: Inc, 1 st, Inc = 5 sts

R4, 6, 8, 10: spot

R5: Inc, 3 sts, Inc = 7 sts

R7: Inc, 5 sts, Inc = 9 sts

R9: Inc, 7 sts, Inc = 11 sts

R11, 13, 15: 1 st, tog 2, knit to last 3 sts, tog 2, 1 st

R12, 14, 16, 18: end

R17: 1 st, 3 Tog, 1 st

R19: 3 together.

Pass the thread through the remaining stitch and tuck the thread. Sew the leaf to the base of the stem.

The twist (optional)

Cast on 20 stitches with the 3 mm needles and the color green.

Knit 1 row increasing as follows: knit in the front, back then front loop of each stitch = 60 stitches.

On the next row cast off all sts purlwise.

With your finger, give a spiral shape to your tortillon and sew it to the base of the stem.

Finishes

Cast off the remaining sts and tuck in the threads.

Realization

With 3 mm needles, cast on 28 (32, 36) stitches and join in the round, taking care not to twist the stitches.

Knit in 2/2 rib for 7 (8, 8) cm in height.

Continue with 3.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch, distributing 4 intercalary increases on the first row = 32 (36, 40) stitches. When 6 (7, 8) cm in height from the end of the ribs, begin the decreases for the end of the hand as follows:

Size 0-3 months
