IDEAS FOR PATTERNS AND YARNS IN A “SOFT” PALETTE
You know that feeling: You fall in love with a pattern and one day “the” perfect yarn shows up to knit it.
I had this perfect moment a few weeks ago...
But, once the first stitches of the ideal jacket were cast on, I wanted to combine it with the shawl, socks, tuque and mittens worthy of it! I went to visit my stash and the projects put aside: a real “Stash” therapy…
Today I offer you a "moodboard" in shades of gray and pink starting from the "CHAIKA" sweater by Midori Hirose.
To make it, a beautiful combination of “ballerina” pink ( Gwendoline color ) and gray ( Zénaïde color ) in our house wool ROSIE (50% Bluefaced Leicester, 35% Kid Mohair, 15% Nylon/ 237 m per 100gr).
And, for a quick, soft and warm sweater: The MADELEINE PULLOVER , free pattern and in French on our site. It is knitted in our MADI wool (90% Kid mohair, 10% nylon, 170 m/ 100 gr) in Gwendoline color.
I then imagine a vaporous and soft shawl: the CLOUD ILLUSIONS by Boo Knits with Miyuki 6/0 opaline and copper heart beads and our Maison Jacky wool in Zénaïde color (80% Super Kid mohair, 20% Silk / 500 m au 100 g).
The beautiful hat and mittens from the ENSEMBLE FÉERIQUE ( free pattern in French on our site), will be knitted by mixing a strand of JACKY in Gwendoline color and a strand of Stellina (84% Superwash merino wool and 16% Nylon) in Chantilly color by Riverside Studio. And, to match, from head to toe, THE STAR SOCKS (free pattern in French) knitted with Riverside Stellina in Chantilly color...
