THE “METRO, WORK, KNITTING” HAT

– Size: WOMAN

- Material:
1 skein of Cashmere 4ply by Hand Maiden (100% Cashmere; 50g/169m)
1 circular needle 2.5mm in 40cm circumference
1 circular needle 3.5mm in 40cm circumference
1 set of 3.5mm double tips
1 yarn needle
1 marker ring

– Sample: 22 mx 30 row for 10cm by 10cm with 3.5mm needles in circular stockinette
IMPORTANT . check sample and adjust needle number if necessary

Realization:
With the 2.5 mm needles, cast on 112 stitches and join in the round, place a marker ring,
taking care not to twist the stitches.

Knit in 2/2 rib up to 5 cm in height. Change to circular needle size 3.5
mm, following the 2/2 ribs up to 23 cm from the cast-on row. Start the
decreases:

row 1: * Knit 2 together, purl 2 * repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Row 2, 3 and 4: * Knit 1, purl 2 * Repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Row 5: * Knit 1, purl 2 together * Repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
Row 6, 7 and 8: * Knit 1, purl 1 * Repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
row 9: Knit 2 stitches together on the entire row.

Cut the yarn 20 cm from the work, pass it through the remaining stitches, tighten and tuck in
all the wires.
