La collection printemps - Été 2016

The spring - summer 2016 collection

The whole team at La Maison Tricotée got to work! We are preparing a Collection for babies and children to properly celebrate the return of sunny days.

It all started with the preparation of the spring showcases. In mid-February, returning from Aiguille en Fête in Paris, I felt a desire for spring colors. So I browsed Pinterest, the sites of fashion and trend bloggers and many others, and I created a trend board, a “Mood Board”, here it is in summary:

Both fresh and energizing, spring-summer 2016 promises to be as flowery as it is fruity. Make way for supercharged indulgence on one side and on the other a range of soft and tender pastels.

We are faced with a duality of colors that are both fresh and intense, subtle and sparkling.

Featured colors: azure sky blue, luminous ecru, soft salmon pink, orange coral, intense fuchsia, powdery light gray, exotic emerald green, and golden mustard.

For the materials: a summer touch with our new MOYA organic cotton and a soft touch with our CASA , will wake up the wardrobe of our dear little ones asleep by the winter cold.

A floral profusion is also there. Real luxuriant blooms, the silhouettes and details undulate in corollas, bud in constellations and curl like romantic foliage. Ordered or scattered, the flowers thrive in complete lightness. The transparency games with openwork patterns reveal the back by covering it with lace…

Very subtly, the glitter is also present and comes in a light iridescence. The Lurex threads intertwine with the mesh thanks to our Stellina from Riverside Studio. Their sparkles will delicately punctuate dresses, skirts and tops.

From this “Mood Board” model drawings resulted. My colleagues, Clara, Maude, Valentine, Magalie, Annick, Ariane and Céline, began to pattern these models as well as knit them. This is a complicated task because in addition to the calculations for each size, they must be patient and knit the designs, while correcting potential errors, not to mention the fateful date which is fast approaching and on which all the models will have to be finished in order to be exhibited in the new showcase.
